Co-Founder and Creative Director

Laura Coleman is the Creative Director and Co-Founder of the American Music Academy, which she established in 2021 alongside her husband, Wyatt Coleman. Since its founding, the Academy has grown into one of the Houston area's premier music education organizations, serving more than 500 students across two locations with a team of over 30 accomplished faculty members.

As Creative Director, Laura oversees the Academy's vision and continued growth through innovative program development, strategic marketing, and business management. She is passionate about creating engaging educational experiences that inspire students of all ages while fostering a welcoming, community-centered environment for families and faculty alike.

Under Laura's leadership, the Academy has expanded its curriculum, developed new performance and enrichment programs, and built a strong reputation for excellence in music education throughout the Houston community. Her entrepreneurial mindset and creative approach have helped shape the Academy into a thriving organization dedicated to providing exceptional instruction and meaningful musical opportunities.

Laura believes that music has the power to transform lives, build confidence, and strengthen communities. She remains committed to expanding access to high-quality music education while continuing to innovate and grow the Academy for future generations of musicians.
